The Seattle Thunderbirds are currently seeking outgoing, responsible and highly energetic individuals to perform as the team mascot, “Cool Bird”. Cool Bird will perform at T-Birds regular season and playoff games as well as at various community fairs, festivals and parades over the course of the off-season. Responsibilities for each event vary but may include: - Always remaining pleasant and personable while relating with fans - Assist with other tasks as required Must be 18 years or older, able to work pro-actively and independently, have a can-do attitude and their own transportation.
If you are currently attending school you may be able to receive college credit and valuable sports marketing experience - please inquire about this in your cover letter.

The Seattle Thunderbirds are seeking outgoing, responsible staff to join their game night promotions crew. Volunteers will assist in various activities during T-Birds game nights at ShoWare Center. Volunteer period is for the 09/10 season beginning around mid September (TBD) and ending March/April. Must be able to work approximately 4 hours per night and may require lifting and physical activity.
Responsibilities vary each night and may include: - Set up, execution and break down of all game-night promotions - Hand out giveaway items before and/or after games - Execute sponsored promotions during game breaks - Manning group information booth - Assist with other tasks as required - Always remaining pleasant and personable while relating with fans This is a volunteer position. Must be 16 years or older, able to work pro-actively and independently, and have a can-do attitude.

If so, then the Seattle Thunderbirds are the place for you to complete that internship. The T-Birds accept applications for in-season and off-season interns on a year round basis. Send a cover letter and resume to Ian Henry, Director of Public & Media Relations, at ianh@seattlethunderbirds.com if you are interested in becoming an intern with the Seattle Thunderbirds. The T-Birds review applications and select candiates for interviews for off-season internships in January and February. We review applications and select candiates for interviews for in-season internships in June and July. Indicate in your cover letter that you are looking to fulfill college/university credit obligaitons through your internship and if you are looking for a in-season or off-season internship.
Interns with the T-Birds work and complete tasks in these departments: public relations, community relations, ticketing, marketing, event management and game day operations. The T-Birds are a great place for students majoring in public relations, sports management, marketing and business to gain valuable real world experience. |
