T-Birds Trade Defensman Ryan Aasman To Swift Current

Seattle gets a 2012 conditional bantam pick from the Broncos

KENT, October 20, 2010 — Seattle Thunderbirds general manager Russ Farwell today announced the team has traded defenseman Ryan Aasman to the Swift Current Broncos for a conditional 5th round selection in the 2012 Bantam Draft.

“We had nine defensemen and needed to reduce our roster,” said Farwell. “This trade will give Ryan an opportunity to play and earn a bigger role on the ice.”

Aasman has appeared in all eight T-Birds games this season.  The T-Birds acquired Aasman last year from the Prince Albert Raiders for right wing Jonathan Parker.

The T-Birds travel to Portland to take on the Winterhawks on Friday at 7pm at the Rose Garden. They are back home at ShoWare Center on Tuesday, October 26, to face the Tri-City Americans at 7:05pm.

T-Birds single game tickets for the 2010-11 season are available online at the T-Birds website and at the ShoWare Center box office. The ShoWare Center Box Office is open Monday through Friday 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., Saturday 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., Saturday game days at 10 a.m. and Sunday game days at noon.

T-Birds Group tickets are currently on sale. Group tickets can be purchased by calling the T-Birds office at 253-239-7825.
