T-BIRDS STREET TEAM OPEN HOUSE SET FOR SATURDAY, MAY 24

Volunteer rewards based program begins 4th summer promoting T-Birds
Seattle, May 8, 2008 - The Seattle Thunderbirds Street Team will be starting its fourth year this summer. Street Team volunteers attend fairs, festivals, and parades to promote the T- Birds in the greater King County area during the summer. This year, the Street Team will be focusing on more events in the South Puget Sound area in anticipation of the organization's move to Kent.

The T-Birds would like to invite all current Street Team members and all fans who would like to volunteer with the Street Team this summer to an open house on Saturday, May 24, at 10 a.m.

The open house will be at the T-Birds new temporary offices in Kent. The temporary offices are located at 109 2nd Ave South, Kent WA 98031.
Besides finding out information about the Street Team at the open house, you will also have the chance to learn about the events and festivals the Street Team will participate in, how volunteer hours from last year will carry over to this year, and how rewards will be structured for the summer. T-Birds Director of Public & Media Relations, Ian Henry, will facilitate the open house.

The volunteer program is rewards based. For every hour that a Street Team member volunteers for the T- Birds this summer, they will be awarded a point. Points can then be redeemed at the end of the summer for one of five T-Birds prizes.

This is an exciting time for the Thunderbirds. We hope fans can join us for the start of a new chapter in T- Birds history!
