Assistant coach spent one season with T-Birds

KENT — Seattle Thunderbirds general manager Russ Farwell today announced the team has not renewed the contract of assistant coach John Becanic.

Becanic joined the T-Birds as an assistant coach on August 4, 2009, and spent one season with the team.

Before joining the T-Birds Becanic was the head coach of the Everett Silvertips for two seasons. He was an assistant coach with the Silvertips for four seasons before taking the head coach position.
