The Seattle Thunderbirds are excited to announce that our fans can follow the team on the social networking website Twitter. Twitter is a real-time short messaging service that works over multiple networks and devices. Account holders follow the sources most relevant to them and access information via Twitter as it happens – from breaking news to updates from friends to the latest T-Birds news.
The T-Birds encourage our fans to create an account on Twitter at www.twitter.com. Fans can set up their account to receive text messages, called “tweets”, to their cell phone or personal handheld device every time the T-Birds post an update on their Twitter account. Once you have set up your account on Twitter you will need to input your phone number in the "Devices" tab, which is accessed by clicking on the "Settings" link. After inputing your phone number and checking the receive texts box, text "Follow SeattleTbirds" to 40404 and you will be set up to receive T-Bird Tweets to a handheld device.
The T-Birds will use their Twitter account, named www.twitter.com/SeattleTbirds, to inform fans of roster moves, promotions, ticket specials, team appearances, new ShoWare Center events, community relations initiatives and game results. Fans can also follow the T-Birds Twitter feed online by clicking here .
If fans cannot find the T-Birds account on Twitter, it is suggested they click on the "Search" link on the bottom of their personal Twitter account and type in Seattle Thunderbirds. The T-Birds account should show up when a search is done. |
