The official team mascot of the Seattle Thunderbirds is Cool Bird, who will be appearing for his 13th season with the team in 2007-2008. Cool Bird appears at all home games at the KeyArena. In addition to cheering on the Thunderbirds at home, Cool Bird has become a fixture at community event and school appearances. His willingness to mix and mingle with the fans and kids of all ages makes him one of the area's most popular and recognized mascots!

Cool Bird was hatched in 1995 in the rafters of the KeyArena. His height of 7 feet and his large wing-span helps Cool Bird stand out in a crowd. Cool Bird loves a big crowd, whether it be in the corridors of KeyArena or at a community or school event.

Request Cool Bird for an Appearance

Cool Bird is the official representative of the Seattle Thunderbirds. As such, Cool Birds appears at T-Birds games and at events in the community promoting the team. If you would like Cool Bird to appear at a birthday party or corporate event you will need to follow the procedure outline below.

1. All requests for Cool Bird appearances must be submitted in writing or via email, to the T-Birds Public Relations Office no later than a month before the event.
2. Team events where Cool Bird is needed will be given first priority.
3. Cool Bird appearances are based on availability.
4. If you request is granted you will be notified in at least two weeks prior to the event
5. In the event that Cool Bird is damaged in any way due to misconduct, the group or party that requested Cool Birds appearance will be charged to replace/fix damaged item.
