T-Birds Make Head Coaching Change

Search for new head coach will begin immediately

KENT, March 29, 2011 — Seattle Thunderbirds General Manager Russ Farwell today announced the Seattle Thunderbirds will not be renewing the contract of Head Coach Rob Sumner for the 2011-12 season.

“Rob has contributed a great deal to our organization during his time here and we would like to thank him for his years of service with the Thunderbirds,” said Farwell.  “He was a dedicated and loyal member of our team for 15 years and we appreciate his efforts to help the Thunderbirds grow as an organization.”

The search for a new Head Coach will begin immediately.
